* My 5770 theme song for Temple Sholom of Chicago

* Composed during a time of senior rabbi transition for our congregation, it was originally meant to have a reassuring, unifying message for the congregation. During the pandemic it took on extra resonance as we found new ways to “sit” together.

* When the learning theme for the year was selected, I initially thought, “Who needs another Hinei Mah Tov?” (There are SO many.) Then I went home and wrote one.

* Performed with Chicago Sings at our February 2020 at Temple Sholom. For the first time I got to hear the 4-part round the way I imagined it. It was one of the last major gatherings before the pandemic began. The recording features many members of Chicago Sings, founded by Jewish Rock Radio as a way of bringing together musical colleagues in the Chicago area for a series of concerts in 2018-2020 featuring collaborative arrangements of original compositions.
